Nick Barton, Managing Director, Aberdeen International Airport

Nick joined the Heathrow Airports Group in 2005, first in the Business Development and Planning Department at Stansted Airport, before progressing through the ranks to become Stansted’s Managing Director in 2010. Before that he held a number of roles in the property development, planning and investment industries over a 20 year period.

He joined the team at Aberdeen International Airport in March 2013.

Nick is a qualified BSc (Hons) Estate Management Chartered Surveyor (Planning & Development). 

He cites golf and long-distance running among his hobbies.

Carol Benzie, Commercial Director, Aberdeen International Airport

Carol Benzie joined Aberdeen International Airport in 2008 following a spell of six years spent working with a large local charity who support people with learning disabilities. Before that she spent over ten years in finance with the oil and gas industry.

During her first three years with the company she headed up the finance and commercial departments. In March 2011 Carol took up the post of Operations Director, moving to the Commercial Director role in January 2013.

She is on the board of Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce.

Carol is married with two children.

Roger Hunt, Operations Director, Aberdeen International Airport

Roger Hunt joined Aberdeen International Airport in January 2010 as Head of Human Resources having previously been Head of Human Resources within the Scottish Prison Service for a period of 2 years.

Prior to then Roger gained significant experience within the Financial Services Industry where he enjoyed a career spanning 26 years with the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, 17 years in operational roles within the Retail Banking Sector, prior to moving into Human Resources where he worked both nationally and internationally in relationship and project management.

He assumed the post of Operations Director in January 2013.

Roger is married with three children.
