Sir Nigel Rudd, Non-Executive Chairman, BAA
Sir Nigel became BAA's Non-Executive chairman in September 2007.  He is best known as founder of Williams plc in 1982 which went on to become one of the largest industrial holding companies in the United Kingdom until its demerger in November 2000, creating Chubb plc and Kidde plc. He became Non-Executive Chairman of Kidde plc until December 2003. Presently Sir Nigel is also a Non-Executive Director at BAE Systems and Sappi SpA.


Executive directors

Colin Matthews, Chief Executive Officer, BAA
Colin was appointed BAA's Chief Executive Officer in April 2008. He is an experienced FTSE100 CEO who has led a number of service and industrial businesses in several countries. Prior to joining BAA, Colin was Group Chief Executive of Severn Trent plc, Managing Director of BA Engineering for British Airways plc, and later Executive Director of Lattice Group plc and Group Chief Executive of Hays Group plc. 

José Leo, Chief Financial Officer, BAA
José was appointed BAA's Chief Financial Officer in September 2006. Prior to joining BAA he was Group Finance Director of Amey plc and former Managing Director of Ferrovial Telecomunicaciones responsible for managing Ferrovial's investments in the telecommunication sector. José was also a Director of the Spanish telecommunication operators ONO and UNI2, and Chief Finance Officer and Business Development Manager at the Spanish construction company Agroman.

Luis Sánchez Salmerón, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, BAA
Luis was appointed Deputy Chief Executive in July 2006. He has held a number of senior appointments in the construction and finance sections. These include Managing Director of Ferrovial Airports; Managing Director, Acciona Infrastructure Concession; Finance Director, Concession Holding Valora, Executive Director, RMG; and Chief Finance Officer, Dragados Service Division.


Non-executive directors

Eng Seng Ang, Non-Executive Director
Eng Seng Ang was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in June 2006. He is Executive Vice President of GIC Special Investments Pte Limited and previously a director of Eagle Brand Holdings Limited.

Stuart Baldwin, Non-Executive Director
Stuart Baldwin was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in June 2008. Stuart is Senior Vice President of the Global Infrastructure Group of GIC Special Investments. He is also a non-executive director of UK water company, Kelda Holdings Ltd, and is a member of the supervisory board of Budapest Airport Zrt.

Richard Drouin, Non-Executive Director
Richard Drouin was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in September 2007. He is a Counsel at Canadian law firm McCarthy Tétrault LLP and Chairman of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). He is the founding member of the E7, which brings together the largest utilities from the G7 countries, and is the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the World Energy Congress to be held, in 2010, in Montréal. He currently sits on the boards of Addenda Capital, Aéroports de Montréal, American Superconductor Corporation, Gesca, and President's Choice Financial.

Renaud Faucher, Non-Executive Director
Renaud Faucher was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in October 2006. He is a director of the private equity group Caisse de dépôt et placement du Quebec (CDP) and a director of Southern Star.

Ghislain Gauthier, Non-Executive Director
Ghislain Gauthier was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in June 2006. He is Senior Vice President, Investment, Infrastructure and Energy, for CDP Capital and a director of Gaz Metro Inc. He has held no other directorships in the last five years.

Ínigo Meirás, Deputy Chairman and Non-Executive Director
Ínigo Meiras was appointed as a Non Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ferrovial Aeropuertos in May 2007. He has been CEO of Ferrovial Servicios for the last six years and has previously held a number of senior appointments in Cintra and Grupo Ferrovial.

José María Pérez Tremps, Non-Executive Director
José María Pérez Tremps was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in June 2006. He is a director and legal counsel of Grupo Ferrovial S.A., a director of Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte S.A. and a director of Europistas Concesionaria Española S.A. He has held no other directorships in the last five years.

Lord Stevens, Non-Executive Director
Lord Stevens of Kirkwhelpington was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in September 2007. He is one of the UK’s leading security experts. He is international security adviser to the Prime Minister, acting Chairman of the Skills for Security Task Force, Chairman of the Task Force for a Border Police Force, and heads the UK Airline Owners and Pilots Association. He was Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police between 2000 and 2005 and served at Heathrow Airport during his long police career.

Nicolás Villén Jimenez, Non-Executive Director
Nicolás Villén Jimenez was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in June 2006. He is Chief Financial Officer of Grupo Ferrovial S.A. and a director of Cintra Concesines de Infraestructuras de Transporte S.A. He has also held a directorship in Budimex S.A. in the last five years.
