Heathrow is the UK’s only hub airport and an important economic asset. But today Heathrow is full and vulnerable to foreign competition.
Customs
Arriving from an EU country
If your journey started in a European Union country (your hold baggage will have a green-edged tag), use the blue exit.
Arriving from outside the EU
If your journey began in a country outside the European Union (your hold luggage will have a white tag), use the red channel if you have goods to declare or the green channel if you don't.
Connecting passengersIf you're transferring through Heathrow to a connecting flight you may be able to have your baggage tagged through to your final destination. You will still need to declare any items in your hand baggage which are liable for duty.
For more information please visit the HM Revenue & Customs website.
