Transforming your connection

New-look waymarking for Flight Connections

What are we doing?

We're making big improvements at Heathrow to give connecting passengers a better airport experience. Finding your way from landing gate to departure lounge will be made much simpler.

You'll find key parts of the airport have been refurbished, and faster, better procedures have been introduced at security control.

And if you need to transfer between terminals, you'll use new, improved bus connections.

Why are we doing it?

Heathrow is a large, busy airport with five terminals. We want to keep transfer times to a minimum and make the whole process simple and pleasant for all our connecting passengers.

How are things changing?

Connections route image To make your journey easier we've introduced new purple colour-coded signs so you'll know where to go at a glance.

We're improving key connections areas of the airport, and introducing new technology and queue control at security.

We've also introduced the personal connection planner on this website. Use this step-by-step guide to find out exactly what you need to do when you arrive at Heathrow.

Don't forget, if you need to pick up your baggage you should follow the signs for Arrivals.
