easyJet announces new routes to launch from Scotland next summer

Daily easyJet flights between Aberdeen and London Gatwick will launch from next summer and operate year-round.

A new route from Glasgow to Pula in Croatia, due to launch in 2020 and postponed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, has also been confirmed to launch for summer 2021

Over 66,000 seats now on sale from £22.99*.

easyJet has announced it will relaunch its route from Aberdeen to London Gatwick, with the new flights taking off from 2 May 2021.

Flights will operate daily throughout the year and over 66,000 seats are now on sale at easyJet.com with fares from £22.99*.

The route will provide even more direct connectivity between the North East of Scotland and London, joining easyJet’s existing route between Aberdeen and London Luton.

The airline has also confirmed that a new route from Glasgow to Pula in Croatia, due to launch last year but postponed as a result of the pandemic, will now launch for the first time next summer.  From 28 June flights to Pula will operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays throughout the peak summer season. Flights are available to book now on easyJet.com from just £24.99* one way per person.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager said:

“In anticipation that demand for travel will return – and having recently seen signs of growing confidence by our customers in making plans for travel next spring and summer – we to continue to strengthen our network in Scotland, providing more direct domestic and international connections across the UK and Europe.

“Returning customer momentum is supported by the welcome news of the vaccination roll out, which will enable normal life to resume; including travelling again for work, study, to visit friends and family, or for a much-needed holiday.

“We are proud to be the largest airline in Scotland and remain committed to providing great value services to our customers by offering low fares, and more choice when they travel.”

Derek Provan, chief executive of AGS Airports which owns Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton airports, said:

“We are in constant discussions with our airline partners to ensure we can support them with their plans throughout this pandemic.

“It is therefore great to see easyJet reinstate the popular Gatwick route at Aberdeen International Airport.

“Bringing back business safely is a key priority at our airports and Gatwick will help strengthen Aberdeen’s connectivity with London.

“We are also delighted Pula, Croatia, which was postponed due to the pandemic, will once again be available for our passengers in Glasgow next summer.”
