March Passenger Figures

Overall passenger figures for March indicate 284,755 travelled through the airport during the month, a slight decrease of -1.5%  on 2014 levels. Helicopter traffic continued its upward trend and grew by 3.1% compared with the same month last year, whilst overall domestic travel at the airport had increased by 0.8%.

Airport MD Carol Benzie said of the figures “We have seen continued positive growth in domestic fixed wing and helicopter traffic for the month and a minor reduction in passengers travelling internationally, which has resulted in a marginal reduction when compared with March 2014 figures".

"We have already had a busy start to April with the Easter holiday break, and we saw over 7,000 passengers travel through the airport over the Bank Holiday weekend”.

Meanwhile, the airport is busy welcoming delegates for the Routes Europe 2015 conference, taking place over the next three days at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. One of the largest civil aviation events of the year, the conference will see over 1,000 delegates visit Aberdeen to discuss where airlines will fly in the future.
