Known as the "Fortress City", Valetta is the beautful beating heart of Malta. Named after its founder Jean Parisot de la Valette, the city was completed in 1566 and still retains much of its history. Valetta is a World Heritage City and packed with colourful streets, cosy cafes and impressive architecture. A must visit is St. John's Cathedral and museum, but in reality there are so many things to see and do here, you could easily spend your whole holiday just exploring this magical location!
