We are currently recruiting for a GSE maintenance mechanic for the Aviation sector based in the Aberdeen Airport. We are looking to grow our team of highly skilled engineers to support the growing demand of Aberdeen Airport.

Key Responsibilities;

•        Required to service and repair a full range of aviation ground support equipment to include Pushback Tractors, Hi Loaders, De-icers, Electric Baggage Tractors, Steps, Belt Loaders, Trailers, Tow Bars and much more.

•        Mechanical and Electrical proactive and reactive maintenance.

Key Requirements;

•        Previous experience working on either GSE, Construction plant, Specialist Military Vehicles, Agricultural Machinery or Automotive.

•        Work well as part of a busy team.

•        Must possess an analytical mind, good attention to detail, a high degree of literacy and excellent spoken English.

Adaptable for overtime
 
Shift pattern is 2x 5am-1400  2x 1400-2400 then 2 days off.
I am looking for staff to progress within an expanding company who will continually train staff to a level required to complete there daily role.
 
Hourly rate is £7.29 leading to £8.00 an hour when full pass is obtained and driving.
 
A 5 year checkable work history or education needs to be obtained to hold a full pass but a 60 day pass  will be given to get you started in the role.

Passenger Service Agent - Aberdeen International Airport

ASIG is a recognised leader in the commercial aviation services industry, offering a full range of ground handling, fuelling, Cargo and ancillary services throughout North America, Europe and Asia.

We are currently recruiting for a permanent Passenger Service Agent based at Aberdeen Airport.

As a Passenger Service Agent you will have the following main duties:-

Key Responsibilities

  • Check-In and Transfer Desk
  • Check-in passenger and assessing any special needs/requirements and take appropriate action.
  • To ensure that all applicable document checks are carried out.
  • To ensure that all security requirements are fulfilled.
  • Excess baggage control according to customer airline.
  • Provide information to passengers regarding flight status and directions.
  • Collect paper coupons where applicable.
  • Assist passengers at check-in Automats where applicable.
  • Escorting passengers needing special assistance to and from gates.
  • Responsible for keeping check-in area tidy and desks stocked with stationery.
  • Responsible for opening and closing desks at the correct times.
  • Flight editing as required.
  • To provide customer airline support for the lost luggage function including repatriation of luggage (using World tracer system) , communication with internal & external customers and communication with our customer airline passengers regarding the procedure of lost luggage tracking

Gate Activities

  • To ensure that all applicable document checks are carried out.
  • Report faults and advise supervisor of fault numbers for logging.
  • To ensure that all security requirements are fulfilled.
  • Meeting flights and assisting inbound passengers as required.
  • Setting up computer equipment for departure.
  • Process passengers through the gate room by appropriate procedures.
  • Controlling hand baggage.
  • Jet Bridge operation may be required
  • Make public address announcements.
  • Ensure correct numbers of passengers are onboard and take appropriate action for missing passengers.
  • Collect paper coupons where applicable and handle according to customer airline requirement.
  • Print lists and complete paperwork as required by customer airlines.
  • Assist in irregularity situations with re-tag messages.
  • Perform any other administrative or operational duties as may be reasonably required

  • To be innovative and show initiative in situations as and where needed.
  • To be fully familiar with current procedures.
