On-going AWPR Road Works
To achieve completion of the new Craibstone and Dyce junctions by Autumn 2016, a period of intermittent traffic management on the A96 corridor will commence from July 2015, which may impact your journey to and from the airport. The works are expected to be on-going until Autumn 2016.
The attached leaflet provides a complete overview of traffic management measures which will be in place in the coming months, and key dates.

Aberdeen Airport's Short Stay Car Park is next to the terminal building and suitable for passenger pick-up and short to medium lengths of stay. The Long Stay Car Park is signposted from the approach road, a few minutes away from the terminal by courtesy bus.
Aberdeen Airport Priority Parking is at the very front of the Short Stay Car Park, at the shortest possible distance from the terminal. Passengers who use Priority Parking gain automatic access to Priority Security.
Motorcycle parking is free in the designated areas within the car park. For security reasons motorbikes must not be parked anywhere else.
Picking up and dropping off
Currently, passengers may be dropped off in the dedicated drop-off area of the terminal forecourt. Waiting is not allowed for security reasons. If you are picking up passengers, or need to go inside the terminal, you must use the Short Stay Car Park.
Please note: From January 7th 2015 a controlled forecourt will come into effect at Aberdeen International Airport. Drivers will pay £1 to use the forecourt area for drop-off and will be advised to continue to use the short stay facilities for picking up. There will be a free option on offer for customers which will be located in the long-stay car park and improvements are also being brought in to amend parking rates and provide a free option for blue badge holders. These changes all come into effect from 7th January 2015.
Major car rental companies have desks in the Car Hire building, which can be accessed via the covered walkway to the left when exiting the main terminal. For more information or to hire a car now, see our Aberdeen Airport car hire page.
