Where to meet

The official meeting point at Aberdeen Airport is in the arrivals area, near the Granite City bar and restaurant.

There are also a number of cafés and bars in the public area of the airport which make ideal spots for travellers to meet friends or relatives.

Meeting someone from a flight

Before you leave

If you're meeting someone at the airport, check the flight is on time before you leave using our live flight arrivals page.

You can stay informed on the way to the airport, too – use our website flight search to have flight status updates sent to your email address or Twitter account.

For directions to the airport by car, train or bus, visit our to and from the airport section.

Picking up at the airport

For security reasons, waiting is not allowed on the airport forecourt. If you are picking passengers up from the airport by car, you must use the Short Stay Car Parks.

In the terminal

Information screens in the arrivals area display live flight status information. The status message may be:

  • Expected: The flight hasn't landed yet – you've time for coffee or a spot of shopping.
  • Landed: The flight has arrived but passengers have yet to clear passport control (where necessary) and pick up baggage.
  • Baggage in hall: Passengers should be in the arrivals area shortly.
