Aberdeen Airport buses and coaches

Regular buses run from the airport to Aberdeen city centre and other destinations. Services are less frequent at weekends and in the evening, so please confirm bus times with the operator in advance.

A bus journey to the centre of Aberdeen takes about 30 minutes in average traffic, longer at peak times. Bus fares and timetables are subject to change, so please check with the relevant operator using the links below.

Where to catch buses

Buses to Aberdeen and local services stop directly outside Aberdeen Airport. The bus stop is signposted from the terminal.

Long-distance coaches call at the Guild Street bus station in central Aberdeen, next to the rail station. The bus station can be reached from the airport by bus or taxi. Coach operators at Aberdeen include National Express, Scottish Citylink and Megabus.

Hop on at the airport stop, located outside the main terminal, up the stairs to the left.

Montrose – Stonehaven – Kingswells P&R – Aberdeen Airport – Ellon P&R – Peterhead.

Up to every hour, 7 days a week.

Catch Service 747 to Aberdeen Airport from Montrose, Stonehaven, Kingswells or Ellon. The bus will drop you off at the upper Airport shelter right outside the main terminal.

This service is taking advantage of the new AWPR, meaning journeys from Stonehaven to Aberdeen Airport only take approximately 30 minutes and journeys from Ellon to Aberdeen Airport only take approximately 40 minutes.

Running 7 days a week this service starts at 04:05 on weekdays from Stonehaven and 06:51 on the weekends. The service starts at 04:12 from Ellon P&R on weekdays and 07:40 on weekends.

The last bus to Stonehaven leaves the airport at 22:20 7 days a week.

The last bus to Ellon leaves the airport at 20:57 on weekdays and 20:54 on the weekends.
