BA Cityflyer London City service takes off from Aberdeen International Airport

BA Cityflyer London City service takes off from Aberdeen International Airport

British Airways Cityflyer’s new service to London City has started from Aberdeen International Airport.

The winter service provides passengers stronger domestic connectivity to London.

Flights will begin operating on Tuesday 1 November 2022 and run until Sunday 22 January 2023 on the Embraer E190 aircraft.

The route will complement the multiply daily flights with British Airways to London Heathrow.

Matt Hazelwood, Chief Commercial Officer for AGS Airports Ltd, which owns Aberdeen International Airport, said: "This announcement was well received when it was announced last month and it is great to see the first service taking off.

“We look forward to working with BA Cityflyer to establish the route and whether people are travelling for business or leisure there is even more choice for passengers between the Granite City and London.”

Mark Beveridge, Operations Director at Aberdeen International Airport said: “Routes like London City are important to help drive the economy connecting the business community to key markets and it is great to see these winter flights taking off.”
