Easter escapes begin at Aberdeen International Airport

Easter escapes begin at Aberdeen International Airport

Easter getaways are in full swing at Aberdeen International Airport with more than 56,000 passengers travelling over the coming weeks.

With school holidays already started and Easter Weekend to look forward to the North East’s largest transport hub is ready for busy weeks ahead.

London Heathrow continues to be one of the most popular destinations at Aberdeen International Airport.

Passengers will also be travelling on the newly started Krakow service with Ryanair along with other holiday destinations of Faro, Alicante and Malaga with the airline.

Staff are in place to help guide passengers through the terminal as they look forward to a much-deserved getaway.

Robert Paterson, Head of Operations at Aberdeen International Airport, said: "We are gearing up for our busiest Easter school holiday break in years, with passengers excited to escape over the next several weeks.

“In the coming three weeks, the terminal will be buzzing with excitement as we welcome thousands of travellers heading to sunny locales and vibrant city breaks. Our goal is to ensure a seamless journey through the airport for all our passengers."

Aberdeen International Airport is also reminding passengers travelling during the next two weeks to ensure liquids carried in hand luggage are within the 100ml limit to help ensure a speedy security process.
