Last Chance to apply as ABZ Propeller Fund Enters Final Approach

Aberdeen International Airport is issuing a final call for applications to the ABZ Propeller Fund for 2026.

The fund, which opened earlier this year with £20,000 available to support community projects across the north-east.

There is still £10,000 remaining for organisations working on projects for education, sustainability or economic regeneration.

Groups looking for funding have until Friday, 31 October to apply for a grant of up to £3,000, with applications to be considered at the fund's final committee meeting of the year in November.

Since its relaunch in 2022, the ABZ Propeller Fund has distributed more than £120,000 to organisations across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, helping bring a wide range of community projects and initiatives to life.

Bruce Watson, Chairman of the ABZ Propeller Fund, said: "With £10,000 still available this year, we'd encourage eligible organisations from across the north-east to submit an application before the deadline.

"Every year we receive a wide range of inspiring proposals from groups committed to making a positive difference in their communities. Whether it's supporting education, promoting sustainability or driving economic regeneration, the fund continues to help turn great ideas into reality.

"This November meeting will be our final opportunity to allocate funding in 2026, so I'd encourage anyone considering an application to get it submitted before 31 October."

The ABZ Propeller Fund committee, made up of airport representatives and members from local government, meets quarterly to review applications.

Organisations interested in applying are encouraged to review the fund's guidelines and submit their applications via the official website before 31 October:
