Eastern Airways flights now on sale and bookable

Eastern Airways flights now on sale and bookable

Eastern Airways, which operates flights from Aberdeen Airport, now has its scheduled routes on sale and are bookable through its own website – www.easternairways.com

Following the demise of Flybe, the full existing Eastern Airways network has continued to operate as normal, and the airline has honoured tickets on Flybe services operated by Eastern Airways for the past few days. It will continue to do so until the end of Tuesday 10 March as recognition of customers’ valued and continued support.

To mark the airline going independent again, Eastern Airways is offering fares from £19.99* one way, including taxes and charges. Complimentary on-board refreshments are offered, and a return to all fares levels including a minimum of 15kg of complimentary hold baggage as part of a quality service.

Eastern Airways has also announced four further new routes providing continuity and regional protection as they were formerly operated by Flybe. The Southampton-Manchester and Southampton-Newcastle will both begin initially with twice daily services, starting very rapidly on Wednesday 11 March 2020. A daily through service from Southampton to Aberdeen will also commence on 27 April 2020 giving Eastern Airways five routes from Southampton from April.

The new twice daily Aberdeen-Birmingham flights commence on Monday 16 March 2020. All new routes are also now bookable on Eastern Airways’ website and will show increased frequency up to four-daily in the coming weeks, while further additional routes will be added to help restore key regional connectivity.

On Monday 9 March 2020, the airline is also launching three of seven new routes from Teesside International Airport to Belfast City, Dublin and Southampton. Flights to London City commence in April followed by seasonal services to Alicante and the Isle of Man to complement the existing Aberdeen and Cardiff routes. As a result Eastern Airways will have added eleven new routes in two months to help significantly restore UK connectivity.

Roger Hage, Eastern Airways’ General Manager Commercial & Operations, said: “We are pleased to announce that our flights are now on sale as we’ve moved quickly to introduce a new booking system for Eastern Airways flights since becoming independent again.

“Our newly announced routes from Southampton to Manchester, Newcastle and Aberdeen, plus Aberdeen to Birmingham have already been well received nationally in recovering major lost connections which are now bookable at www.easternairways.com, along with our entire existing network.

“Delivering regional connectivity is vital for economic prosperity and regional development which supports our ability to provide a quality, cost effective and speedy service to meet the needs of both business and leisure travellers.”

The independent operator, which was formed in 1997, has moved quickly to return back to its own standalone booking facilities after its former franchise partner, Flybe, went into administration earlier in the week. Travel agents can also book Eastern Airways services directly as the airline returns to its original T3 flight code.

From Aberdeen, the airline provides scheduled flights to Newcastle, Teesside International, Humberside, Cardiff and Wick John O’Groats, along with new service to Birmingham.

The Humberside Airport based carrier provides a network of routes from airports including Aberdeen, Alicante, Anglesey, Belfast City, Birmingham, Cardiff, Dublin, Humberside, Isle of Man, Leeds Bradford, London City, Manchester, Newcastle, Southampton, Teesside International and Wick John O’Groats.

*Fares start from £19.99 on the Anglesey-Cardiff route.
